Brogan Bertie

Brogan Bertie

Brogan Bertie is an animator and illustrator from South East London. She has used her final year at LCC to concentrate on traditional hand-drawn techniques and mediums including printmaking, painting, and drawing within the context of 2D animation.

Her practice has recently been concerned with hereditary legacies of oral tradition and how that translates to storytelling and, as is the case with her graduating film about Sylvia Rivera, the specific way queer people find ancestral connections to those who came before them.

As well as working on commercial and collaborative animation projects, she has exhibited with the Tate Britain, the Barbican, and the House of Illustration. Her graduating film will premiere at the Leslie Lohman Museum and the BGSQD in NYC.
